Here’s the weird thing: I love tapes. Love ’em. Never stopped loving ’em, never will. And yet! Unlike 7”s, I view cassette singles as a painful waste of the format. So much unexplored potential, so much squandered. Still, that’s just me, I get it. Issues with cassette EPs aside, this shit is awesome. Just fantastic pop punk that brings to mind Dear Landlord and Banner Pilot, all that good stuff. Like on par with, you know? Not a lesser version. No clue who these guys are, but this four-song cassette instantly made me a fan. In that regard, I guess the ploy worked, because now I’m listening to the rest of their stuff as well.
